Mission & Vision

  • The VIgo4AI project is focused on empowering visually impaired and blind individuals by enhancing their digital competence using artificial intelligence (AI). The project aims to introduce AI technologies to visually impaired people and their educators, providing them with accessible tools to improve daily and professional tasks

Intellectual Output aimed to:

  • Enhance Digital Competence: Introduce visually impaired individuals to AI tools and applications, empowering them with essential digital skills.
  • Develop Accessible Curricula: Create AI-focused curricula and teaching materials tailored for visually impaired learners, ensuring inclusivity and accessibility.
  • Train Educators: Equip educators with the knowledge and tools needed to teach visually impaired students how to use AI technologies effectively.
  • Promote AI Integration: Foster the use of AI-assisted technology, generative AI, and chatbots in everyday and professional life for visually impaired individuals.
  • Ensure Long-Term Impact: Develop e-learning modules and sustainability plans to ensure the project’s outcomes are utilized long-term.

Outputs are:

  1. Comprehensive curricula and teaching materials for AI applications.
  2. Accessible e- learning modules based on the developed courses.
  3. Trained educators capable of independently teaching visually impaired individuals.
